| Key Set |
When used without a modifier, key set refers to all the stills (hundreds) selected as the master set of images for a film. Also, a movie publicity term for a specific group of 8x10 stills or any complete group of stills selected for a particular purpose. Usually mounted on canvas and placed in binders. Other uses of the phrase key set include: - Newspaper Key Set (a.k.a. New York newspaper set): Stills placed in a press kit. The complete newspaper set was often called a brown bag set, because they were placed in a small bag and stamped with the title of the film and other information. |
